I saw black garlic on one of the morning shows and thought I would give it a try. It's very tasty on crusty bread as just a spread. I haven't tried it in cooking yet, but will soon. I checked prices at various websites and Mondo had the best price. Great quality, too.

Another reviewer here also mentioned the web search for this item leading them right here to Mondo. Same here. Look around--but you'll keep coming back to Mondo. The price was the best I could find, shipping was rapid and product is just excellent.

The product quantity was hefty, too--lots of it. Keeps very well in fridge storage for a long time and freshness level--through the roof.

Have also ordered ground spices & oil from Mondo and am absolutely satisifed with those, too.

As a professional chef, I purchased black garlic specifically for a winemaker dinner. I paired a black garlic and polenta flan with a fresh morel mushroom ragout to go with a very buttery chardonnay. This is the current "it" ingredient and I'm sure we'll continue to see it popping up more and more often on menus. Since I also have to be very conscientious about my budget (who doesn't?) I had to shop around for a while until I came to Mondo Food. I will definitely be back. The price was right, the quality outstanding and the shipping time was lightning fast. I couldn't have asked for more.
