Product Description
This oil is made from hand harvested pumpkin seeds. Approximately 5.5 pounds of fresh pumpkin seeds are required to make one liter of pumpkin seed oil. Once the seeds have been removed from the pumpkins, they are washed and dried. The dried seeds are then roasted at approximately 140ºF. Once roasted, the seeds are pressed using high pressure. The result is an oil that has a thick viscous body, almost completely opaque black in color, and is packed full of flavor. Because of its deep color and the wonderful roasted flavor this oil is remarkable for plate presentations and gives a unique flavor to dishes.
Taste: Green grass and fruit, light peppery finish
